Project Highlights

The Salt Line (Ballston)

A striking oyster bar greets guests at the entrance of the Salt Line Ballston. The front fascia is 1970’s Chris-Craft inspired and uses rich mahogany boards filled with white resin at the seams, bringing the sport boat influence full circle. Atop the bar sits a succulent oyster selection surrounded by ornate brass accents. Reminiscent of a boat’s windshield, the bent glass pane protects the public from the shuckers and also provides a behind-the-scenes look into the culinary art of oyster preparation.

Dauphines

Alluding to the storied layers of New Orleans’s design and architecture, Dauphine’s is influenced by the city’s French and Spanish roots. The design team favored classic elements such as custom oak parquet flooring and walnut millwork, mosaics, marble, tile, and hand-cast wrought iron to create a sense of Bourbon Street nostalgia. Patrons can also find Dauphine’s walls filled with New Orleans’s inspired artwork.

Ci Siamo (Manhattan West)

GrizForm worked as the Architect of Record with Goodrich as the interior designer on this outstanding project. This collaboration has been racking up awards since opening. Including finalist recognitions from: Gold Key Awards Hospitality Design Restaurant and Bar Design Awards Dezeen
The emphasis on live fire, central to Ci Siamo's culinary identity, is reflected in lighting and material choices such as terracotta and glazed ceramics, forged metal and blown glass, in order to express a parallel between the cooking processes and the artisanal process. The design uses natural materials paired with warm lighting, to create intimacy in the modernist base building, softening the modern architecture with warmth and refinement.

“Eating at a restaurant is about more than just the food. Just ask Griz Dwight, principal and founder of GrizForm Design Architects. For the past decade, Dwight has been leading the charge as restauranteurs' go-to architect and designer.” - Interior Design Magazine
